Urology at Epworth Eastern

The Urology Unit at Epworth Eastern specialises in a variety of surgical procedures to treat many urological conditions, including:

Urology inpatients are located in 2 Cato (Cato building, Level 2).

Robotic Assisted Radical Prostatectomy

In December 2003, the first Robotic Assisted Prostatectomy was performed in Australia at Epworth Richmond. The procedure is the minimally invasive surgical removal of the prostate gland in men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

There is also a Prostate Cancer Liaison Service available which offers nursing support, providing education ad advice to men (and their partners) who have this condition.
