Overview
In this education session A/Prof John Lubel will provide “tricks of the trade” on the interpretation of abnormal liver tests. This will include how to recognise and manage patients presenting in general practice with symptoms including identifying what investigations to undertake and when to refer to a specialist. Prevalence, diagnosis, interpretation of tests and red flags for referral to a specialist will be highlighted through case studies typically seen in the general practice setting. John will also provide a brief update on the diagnosis and management of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
