Dr Graeme Brazenor is a Melbourne born and educated neurosurgeon, awarded an Australian Churchill Fellowship which he spent as a neurosurgical fellow for a year at University Hospital, London, Ontario, Canada. Dr Brazenor has more than 35 years experience as an operating neurosurgeon and specialist spinal surgeon, and is a Past President of Australia's peak spinal medicine/surgical body, the Spine Society of Australia.Dr Brazenor special surgical interests include all adult spine pathologies relating to the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spines: degenerative, deformity, tumours and trauma. Dr Brazenor holds patents on a cervical spine device he invented, with results published in the globally recognized Spine journal.At midnight on 31 December 2015, he electively ceased to perform surgery, so-called putting down the tools and he remains in full-time consulting practice in spinal medicine and surgery, and also provides expert medicolegal opinion.
