Dr Irina Astrakhantseva is a Rehabilitation Medicine Physician who was granted a Fellowship from AFRM (RACP) in 2014. She commenced her career in Australia as a Health Medical Officer at Barwon Health in Geelong in 2007. Dr Astrakhantseva trained in the major rehabilitation hospitals in Melbourne and has worked as a Rehabilitation specialist in a number of private and public hospitals in Victoria. She has experience in wide range of the rehabilitation areas including rehabilitation after spinal cord and brain injuries,musculoskeletal, neuro, amputee, reconditioning and oncology rehabilitation. She completed a Neurorehabilitation course at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. Dr Astrakhantseva holds a public appointment at Royal Melbourne Hospital. She is a clinical lecturer at Melbourne University Medical school , supervisor and long case assessor for the college of trainees and an examiner for AFRM (RACP). Dr Astrakhantseva dedicated to providing high quality rehabilitation care with open communication, compassion and sensitivity to cultural and individual patients needs.
