About
Michael Dally is a Radiation Oncologist with a sub-speciality interest in Neuro-Oncology and Stereotactic Radiosurgery. He was the first in Victoria to develop stereotactic irradiation at the Alfred Hospital, affiliated with Monash University in 1996.
He now works with Icon Cancer Centre at Epworth HealthCare in Richmond, Victoria, with the latest technology and members of his original stereotactic team. Many conditions other than cancer may be treated with Stereotactic Radiosurgery.
In addition to an interest in clinical trials and Quality of Life, he has taught stereotactic radiosurgery for benign, malignant and functional CNS conditions through the BrainlabAG teaching academy in Australia, Asia and Europe. He has been an invited guest speaker in China, Korea, Malaysia and India as well as for the Neurosurgery Society of Australia. He has been part of the neurosurgical trainee (SET) faculty on a number of occasions.
He is the principle investigator for SHRINC a phase II study of Stereotactic Hypofractionated Stereotactic Radiosurgery Including Neurological and Cognitive assessment and is currently investigating Radiosurgery for Parkinsons disease and essential tremor.
