About
Dr He was first appointed as a Consultant Haematologist in Royal Melbourne Hospital in 2007. His experience includes the laboratory diagnosis of a variety of blood and bone marrow disorders in adults, consultative haematology service in peri-operative management of bleeding, thrombotic complication & transfusion support, and providing specialised treatments for a wide range of serious blood disorders in acute and chronic leukaemias, myelodysplasia, multiple myeloma, lymphoma and aplastic anaemia. In addition, he also specialises in both allogeneic and autologous stem cell transplantation. His other main interests are in autoimmune blood disorders such as immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), TTP, and atypical HUS.
Currently, he is appointed two public hospital positions. Since July 2016, Dr He has been appointed as the Medical Lead of Bone Marrow Transplant at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer, Wellness and Research Centre (ONJCWRC) in Austin Hospital after the successful establishment of Victoria's third adult allogeneic transplant unit. He continues as a bone marrow transplant physician in Royal Melbourne Hospital/Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre within the precinct of Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC).
