Breastfeeding support

Appointment with an IBCLC certified lactation consultant.

First appointments are 60 minutes in duration, subsequent appointments are 45 minutes in duration.

Please note: the length of the booking will always appear as 60 minutes.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your booked appointment time, allowing adequate time for parking and lift access. Late arrivals will have a shorter appointment length.

Please come to Suite 116 on Level 1, 320 Victoria Parade East Melbourne.

When you exit the central lift on Level 1, walk straight ahead down the hallway.

Bring along your baby, nappy bag, your baby's green book (Health & Development record) and anything else you require for feeding.

The Breastfeeding Clinic does not operate over weekends, after hours or on public holidays.

There is no item number for breastfeeding clinic appointments. Our midwives and lactation consultants practice under the Epworth hospital provider number.

Health Fund Rebates

There is no item number for breastfeeding clinic appointments. Our midwives IBCLC's practice under the Epworth hospital provider number. As we do not deal directly with health funds, please contact your health fund to confirm if you are eligible for reimbursement.

Refunds

Refunds are available if your cancellation is received 72 hours prior to your booked appointment time.

HCF Health Insurance

*** Appointments for Epworth HCF patients are provided at no charge from 0-3 months of your baby's age. Fees apply for appointments after 3 months of age.
