ECCL service is led by Julia Segal, Nurse Practitioner and supported by an experienced and diverse group of Consultant Psychiatrists.

The core function of our Consultation Liaison service is to offer timely and specialised assessment and management of general medical patients at the bedside. Patients may have pre-existing mental health concerns or may be experiencing symptoms related to mental health for the first time. The service will provide feedback and support to the referring physician and ward nurses in the management of any symptoms, behaviours, medication commencement and management during a patient stay. The service will support where clinically appropriate and indicated, the transfer of care to Epworth Clinic Mental Health Service in Camberwell or community linkages and discharge planning where needed.
