What's involved in the osteoarthritis rehabilitation program?
The osteoarthritis program is an outpatient program that runs twice a week for seven weeks.
Topics covered throughout the program include:
- Information on how to manage arthritis
- Non-pharmacological pain management
- Nutrition and weight management
- Pacing and joint protection
- Relaxation and mindfulness activities
Throughout the program you are supported by a rehabilitation physician who specialises in arthritis, plus a range of allied health services which may include:
- Dietetics
- Exercise physiology
- Hydrotherapy
- Occupational therapy
- Physiotherapy
- Psychology
