Epworth Sports and Exercise Medicine Group (ESEM) specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of sports injuries as well as a full range of other musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions related to activity. We also provide exercise prescription and exercise advice for those patients who are experiencing conditions such as diabetes, asthma or recovering from surgical procedures.

Our specialist doctors have worked in their field for many years including at the most elite level. They have experience working with Australian teams at Olympic, Commonwealth and World Cup competitions. Our doctors are also senior doctors with AFL clubs, Australian Open tennis, the Victorian Jockey Association as well as past experience with Australian athletics, cricket and triathlon teams at international level.

However, you do not need to be an athlete to utilise our services. We offer the same high standard of care, assessment and management for all patients regardless of their participation level. We also have a special interest in the management of degenerative arthritis conditions particularly affecting the hip and knee region.
