About

A/Prof Indi Rasaratnam graduated from Monash University with Honours. He completed his medical training including Advanced training in Rheumatology at The Alfred. Indi has been a Consultant Rheumatologist at The Alfred and Epworth Healthcare for over 25 years. He has a keen interest in Medical Education and in 2020 was recognised by Professor Margaret Gardner, Vice Chancellor of Monash University, for achieving 25 years of service with Monash University. Indi has won numerous teaching awards from the Central Clinical School, Monash University and also the Epworth Clinical School. He is presently actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate Medical Education. He was the Vice President and then President of The Australian Rheumatology Association (Vic-Tas) during the period 2016 – 2021.

Indi has a special interest in treatment of Inflammatory Arthritis including Gout, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis. Indi is passionate about patient focussed care and engaging with colleagues in primary and secondary care to provide the highest quality collaborative care for people with arthritis.
