Graduated from the University of Melbourne and completed basic physician training and advanced training in Cardiology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, followed by Interventional Cardiology fellowships at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Since commencing practice in Geelong over fifteen years ago he has also acquired expertise in cardiac electrical device implantation and CT coronary angiography. Conjoint Clinical Senior Lecturer at Deakin University and regional representative to the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts, conference papers and book chapters and has been an invited speaker at international meetings. His practice covers all areas of adult cardiology with a focus on coronary artery disease.
