About
Mr Michael Weymouth obtained his medical degree from the University of Adelaide in 1997, before undergoing basic surgical training at The Alfred hospital. He then completed two years of advanced general surgical training, before obtaining selection to undergo a further four years of full-time training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Michael currently holds a Consultant position at The Alfred Hospital where he is a member of the Victorian Melanoma Service and the oncoplastic breast reconstruction Unit, as well as Adult Burns Service. He is also a Consultant at Austin Health, where he works as a hand surgeon involved in restorative surgeries for quadriplegic patients. He is also the supervisor of plastic surgical training at Austin Health.
Michael is known for his high standard of surgical competency and his genuine, caring manner. He applies this altruistic approach to all facets of his work, whether it be aesthetic or reconstructive. His special interests include reconstructive and cosmetic breast surgery, skin cancer surgery, hand surgery, burns injuries and management, body contouring surgery, gynaecomastia surgery and microsurgery.
