Dr Mina Ghaly is a general and movement disorders specialist Neurologist. He completed his Neurology specialty training at Cabrini Health, The University Hospital of Geelong, Western Health and St Vincent's Hospital. He has expertise in managing movement disorders such as tremor, dystonia and Parkinson's Disease.He has a special interest in Parkinson's disease pathology, particularly Device Assisted Therapy (DAT), such as Duodopa, Apomorphine and Deep Brain Stimulation or DBS. Dr Ghaly is active in Parkinson's research, patient advocacy and public education in this field. He is embarking on PhD Research investigating biomarkers in Parkinson's disease.He is currently holding a position as a deep brain stimulation Fellow at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and an Honorary Specialist Neurologist at St Vincent's Hospital.Dr Ghaly also consults in a range of neurological conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, headache, diseases of the peripheral nerves and muscles, Multiple Sclerosis and vertigo.
