Recipes brought to you by the Epworth team. Delicious and simple baked mussels with cheese and garlic.
Serves: Approx 6-8

- 2 kg large mussels, wash and
- remove seaweed/debris
- 500 g butter, room temperature
- Handful garlic, chopped
- 500 g mozzarella cheese, grated
- 250 g bread crumbs
Mussels, cook to boil. Mix butter and garlic together with a spoon.
Foil an oven tray and place mussels neatly in rows.
Place a teaspoon (or tablespoon) of butter mixture on each mussel (if you decide on tablespoon you better make more of the butter).
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on each mussel. Sprinkle bread crumbs on each mussel.
Place the oven tray into the oven at 180°C and cook leave for about 10 mins (or just check every 2 mins to ensure you do not burn down the kitchen).
