Rehabilitation – Transition to Specialty Practice

Completion of a transition to specialty program provides a priority pathway to undertake postgraduate study and the opportunity to apply for a targeted Epworth scholarship. 

Brookes Academy - Epworth HealthCare

This program is for new or existing registered or enrolled nurses, who have minimal experience caring for patients in rehabilitation settings. This program will help you develop knowledge, confidence and skills in clinical rehabilitation nursing practice.

  • Discussion forums and reflection exercises via eLearning
  • Case presentation

Intake

  • One intake from April through to August.
  • Five study days throughout a six-month program.

Eligible applicants

  • Current registered or enrolled nurse with AHPRA.
  • Must be working in a rehabilitation unit at Epworth.
  • Permanent contract, minimum 0.6 to full time.
  • Have received pre-approval from your Nurse Unit Manager.
  • Submitted an expression of interest (EOI) form.

Applications

  • Applications are invited from all rehabilitation sites.
  • All study days will be conducted at Epworth Camberwell.
  • Expressions of Interest (EOI) will be advertised in November.
