  • Epworth Medical Imaging ‘app’

    The Epworth Medical Imaging ‘app’ (application) is a valuable referrer tool that facilitates access to patients’ images and reports on the go.

    The app, which can be downloaded to any mobile device, is not a diagnostic tool but has sharing capabilities that allows referring doctors to send patient images to other medical practitioners via email or SMS to assist integrated, multidisciplinary healthcare.

    Epworth Medical Imaging is committed to ensuring that all referrers have access to radiology reports for their clinical records. We offer a range of electronic reporting solutions to simplify radiology results delivery.

    Fax – the report is sent to your fax machine electronically for your paper file.

    Fetch –  Fetch! is an internet-based program that imports patient reports directly and securely to your practice management software. Fetch! is self-installing and requires minimal user input.

    Epworth Medical Imaging customises referral request stationery in the following formats that adhere to the Medicare Benefits Schedule guidelines:

    A4 printer paper

    Customised A4 printer paper allows you to print laser requests directly from your practice management system. For this option to work effectively, your practice management software must have its printer settings calibrated. For guidance to calibrate your printer, please click on the name of your practice management system below.

    Handwritten request pads

    Handwritten request pads have been developed for physicians that do not use a computer-based practice management system or prefer to handwrite requests. These request pads have fields for referrer details, required examination, clinical notes and delivery method. They can be used for any examination.

    Handwritten request pads have been developed for physicians that do not use a computer-based practice management system or prefer to handwrite requests. Epworth Medical Imaging can customise requests for any referrer. Personalised request pads include a pre-printed referrer name, address, phone, fax and provider number.

    Fetch! is Epworth Medical Imaging’s proprietary electronic results transmission (ERT) program. If you download results from Melbourne Pathology, Fetch! may already be installed on your computer.

  • Medicare information

    Pensioners and healthcare cardholders will be bulked billed for all items covered under the Medicare schedule, although some surgical procedures and scans may incur a cost, as they are not covered under Medicare. Our staff will inform you of costs prior to your examination. Please have your Medicare card ready to present to reception.
