About
Dr Brian Ang is a glaucoma subspecialist and comprehensive ophthalmologist specialising in glaucoma management, cataract surgery, and treatment of macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease. He is highly experienced and skilled in performing complex glaucoma and cataract surgery, as well as minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) techniques.
He graduated in medicine from the University of Edinburgh and completed his ophthalmology training in the UK in 2009. He underwent further subspecialty glaucoma training in Scotland, Switzerland, and New Zealand. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, the Royal College of Ophthalmologists UK, and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Brian currently holds a public appointment as a Glaucoma Consultant at the Eye & Ear Hospital, where he takes an active role in training registrars and fellows. Apart from his clinical work, Brian is also active in clinical research, and holds honourary positions as a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne and Clinical Researcher at the Centre for Eye Research Australia.
