About
Dr Dilan Seneviratne Epa undertook advanced training in Endocrinology at St Vincent's and Alfred Hospitals in Melbourne. Having obtained his medical degree with honours in 2011, Dr Seneviratne Epa received a full grant from the European Association for the Study of Diabetes to attend the Robert Turner Clinical Research Course at the Oxford Centre for Diabetes Endocrinology and Metabolism in the UK. He has published research in leading international peer-reviewed journals, and presented at international conferences. He has also contributed to the development and review of clinical practice guidelines at the hospitals he has worked at and continues to engage in quality improvement. He is actively involved in teaching medical students from Monash and Melbourne Universities and also physician trainees. Dr Seneviratne Epa is an Endocrinologist with an interest in treating diabetes, osteoporosis, thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, reproductive (male and female) and general endocrine disorders. His dual training in General Medicine and Endocrinology makes him uniquely placed to manage multiple complex medical problems associated with chronic disease such as the sequelae associated with diabetes mellitus. Outside of medicine,he enjoys playing cricket and going on road trips with his family.
