Mr. Andrew Bui is a Colorectal Surgeon who completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne. He specialised in General Surgery and then Colorectal Surgery. His training involved rotations to Tasmania, Scotland and England, including a year at the prestigious St. Mark's Hospital, London.Mr. Bui is constantly expanding his knowledge and research through attendance at various scientific meetings around the world. In recent years he has done clinical attachments to hospitals in the US, Canada, Malaysia, Japan and UK. He has contributed book chapters and research papers on a range of colorectal topics. He has presented papers at conferences. He is also a reviewer for papers submitted to surgical journals. Mr. Bui is trained in many techniques including laparoscopic surgery, TaTME, and anorectal ultrasound. He has more than 25 years of practice in Colorectal Surgery. Mr. Bui is involved in the surgical training program at Austin Health and regularly teaches medical students, Registrars and Colorectal Fellows. He was the Supervisor of General Surgical Training at Austin Health for 12 years. Currently, he is the Director of Colorectal Training Program at Austin Health.
