A clinical nurse specialist is available at the hospital to discuss problems such as incontinence and urinary retention and also specific issues, both before and after surgery. The clinical nurse specialist will also arrange any specific requirement for your treatment.

Robotic Assisted Radical Prostatectomy
In December 2003, the first Robotic Assisted Prostatectomy was performed in Australia at Epworth Richmond. The procedure is the minimally invasive surgical removal of the prostate gland in men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
There is also a Prostate Cancer Liaison Service available which offers nursing support, providing education ad advice to men (and their partners) who have this condition.
