Dr Ali Aminazad (MD, FRACP, FCCP, MClinResMeth) is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician. He is a teaching associate at Monash University. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP) and a member of American Thoracic Society (ATS), TSANZ and Australasian Sleep Association (ASA). He won the award for the most outstanding Registrar for Intern and HMO teaching at Austin Health. He completed one year of advanced training in ICU at Monash Medical Centre. Dr Aminazad finished Respiratory advance training in 2011 and Sleep specialty training in 2012 then joined Eastern Heath as a Specialist Physician. He finished Master degree in Clinical Research Methods at Monash University. Dr Aminazad has an interest in thoracic ultrasound and bedside management of pleural diseases. He started the pleural service at Eastern Health in 2011. Management of sleep disorders and more complex patients with respiratory failure became his interest during his sleep fellowship year. Dr Aminazad established Respiratory Sleep Disorder Centers (RSDC) offering comprehensive respiratory tests, Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET), oxygen assessment, FeNO measurements, Exercise Challenge Test and many more.
