George completed his BSc in 1979 and then obtained his medical degree in 1986 at Melbourne University.
His cardiology training was at the Austin and Repatriation hospital.
Following this he travelled to Boston in America, where he worked with Dr Herman Gold for 2 years, completing his Interventional Cardiology training and research in antiplatelet therapy.
On return to Melbourne he has developed a highly successful and diverse private practice in the central and eastern suburbs. George is a visiting medical officer at both the Austin Medical Centre and Box Hill Hospital. He has developed a strong interest in training up and coming cardiologists as well as being involved in research activities at both hospitals.
