About
Dr. Hari Sugumar is a specialist cardiologist and electrophysiologist.
He graduated in medicine from the University of Melbourne in 2005 and completed physician training, specialising in cardiology at Austin Health. He then completed fellowships in procedural electrophysiology at Austin Health, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Alfred Health and overseas at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Vancouver Island, Canada. He completed his PhD in electrophysiology at the University of Melbourne in the field of atrial fibrillation in heart failure, with publications in many leading heart research journals.
His research interests include paroxysmal and persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation and the impact of AF in heart failure (reduced ejection fraction and preserved ejection fraction).
He is currently practicing at Alfred Health (Arrhythmia Clinic), Epworth Richmond, Warringal and Cabrini Hospitals.
